Amir Ben Gacem, the event’s founder and organiser, gave an illustrated talk about the origins of the marathon, its content and the challenges faced in mounting a successful event in 2020 despite the Coronavirus restrictions. Professor Robert Duncombe, a British (fundraising runner) participant in this year’s Ultra Mirage, also spoke enthusiastically about his experience.
